I ran for office because I'm afraid for my children's future in Pritzker's Illinois. Families here pay some of the highest taxes in the nation. They struggle to find quality education for their children and live in communities plagued by violence.
Like you, I couldn’t just sit back and watch our state be destroyed. So I ran for office, and I got to work.
In my first term, I’ve stood strong for our values and delivered results. I’ve fought for parents’ rights in education, supported law enforcement, demanded fiscal responsibility, and worked to expand opportunity for families right here in Central Illinois.
But the extreme Democrats still hold the reins of power — and they’re using it to force their values into our homes and schools, chip away at our freedoms, and drive jobs and working families out of state.
Many people are fleeing Illinois in search of lower taxes, safer communities, and better schools. I don’t blame them. But I love it here. For nearly two decades, my husband and I have raised our three incredible children in Decatur. We've built our lives here, invested in our community, and we’re not giving up on Illinois.
